Kasarani Mp Disburses KSh 35 Million Bursary and Hints at Nairobi Governor Bid

Kasarani Member of Parliament Ronald Karauri has distributed bursary cheques worth KSh 35 million to support learners across the constituency.
During the event held in Njiru, 3,000 Grade 10 students each received KSh 10,000, while orphaned learners were awarded KSh 15,000 to help ease school fee burdens and ensure uninterrupted learning.
Speaking at the event, Karauri criticized the leadership of Nairobi County, stating that the city lacks proper management. He emphasized the need for a competent administrator to streamline operations and improve service delivery, further hinting at a possible bid for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the upcoming General Election.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the support, saying the bursary will significantly ease financial pressure on families.
“This money has come at the right time. It will help me stay in school without being sent home for fees,” said one of the Grade 10 beneficiaries.
Parents, while appreciative of the gesture, appealed for increased allocation, noting that Kasarani is a vast constituency with many deserving and needy students.
