Kiharu Day School Students to Pay Sh500 Per Term

Students from Day secondary schools in Kiharu constituency will pay only Sh500 per term this year under the Kiharu Masomo Bora programme.
Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro announced the major milestone initiative during the programme’s annual launch at Maragi Primary School. The programme supports Grade 10, Form Three and Form Four learners.
Students enrolled in the programme will continue to receive free lunch throughout the week, including chapati meals every last Friday of the month.
 In addition, the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) has allocated Sh10 million to day secondary schools to support the purchase of revision materials and tution.
The Kiharu Masomo Bora programme, now in its third year, has significantly eased the financial burden on parents and improved access to education for local learners, this has ignited debate from fellow members of parliament where some criticized kiharu Mp and others borrowed ideas from him.
