Kabete MP Aspirant James Wanjohi Issues Ultimatum Over Dilapidated Muguga Primary Toilet
Kabete aspirant member of parliament James Wanjohi has given the area MP Githua wamacukuru an ultimatum of two weeks to urgently facilitate the construction of a modern public toilet at Muguga Wa Gatonye primary school, citing the deplorable condition of the existing facility.
Speaking during a visit to the area, Wanjohi said the current toilet is dilapidated, poses serious health risks to school children, and is a clear indicator of neglect by the current leadership.
The aspirant gave the MP a timeline to commence construction, warning that failure to do so would compel residents to seek alternative ways of demanding accountability. He added that access to clean and safe sanitation is a basic right and should not be politicized.
Local residents and traders welcomed Wanjohi’s intervention, saying the poor state of sanitation has exposed them to risks.
Wanjohi reiterated that if elected, his leadership would focus on practical solutions, accountability, and the improvement of basic services across Kabete Constituency.
