Milimani Court Orders Release of Confiscated Goods in kangemi After mutual agreement

The Milimani Magistrates’ Court has ordered the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Kabete Police Station to release goods confiscated from roadside traders operating outside Kangemi Market, after all interested parties reached a mutual agreement.

The  seven days order  followed an application filed by a vendor seeking the release of allegedly seized stalls and merchandise.

The applicants, led by Wycliff Nyamu on behalf of Kangemi hawkers and Hon. Hamisi Suleiman Maleya, had moved to court under a certificate of urgency.
They accused prominent business woman Rose Wanja of allegedly orchestrating the destruction and confiscation of their stalls during an incident said to have occurred on November 23, 2025.

However, in its ruling, the court questioned the basis of involving Wanja in the proceedings, noting that no sufficient accusations had been established against her and that she was not the relevant authority responsible for the enforcement actions.
The court directed that each party bear its own costs.
