Government will Ensure Smooth Exam Period Despite Weather Challenges
Government of Kenya has this morning assured the public of smooth and secure administration of the ongoing national examinations across the country, despite minor logistical challenges due to ongoing short rains.
Speaking on Tuesday when distributing Exam papers for KPSEA and KJSEA,Principal Secretary for Internal Security, Dr. Raymond Omollo, said the Ministry of Interior has been working closely with the Ministry of Education to ensure adequate security and logistical support throughout the examination period.
Dr. Omollo noted that officers from both ministries are stationed in all examination centers to guarantee the integrity of the exams and safeguard both candidates and exam officials.
“The Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, has put in place comprehensive measures to ensure all examination materials are delivered safely and on time,” said Dr. Omollo.
He acknowledged that the ongoing short rains had created access challenges in some areas, particularly in remote regions, leading to minor delays in the distribution of examination papers. However, he emphasized that all affected areas were being closely monitored and that alternative arrangements were in place to ensure no disruption to the exam schedule.
The PS commended security personnel, education officials, and local administrators for their coordinated efforts to maintain calm and order during the examination period, assuring parents and candidates that the government remains fully committed to ensuring fairness and transparency.
