Comfort Homes honours the Elderly and people living with Disability in Kirinyaga county

Over 1,500 elderly persons and people living with disabilities in Kagio village, Kirinyaga County, received foodstuffs, blankets, and soap from Comfort Homes, a land buying and selling company, in a gesture of compassion and community support.

The donation drive, held during Mashujaa Day celebrations, aimed to uplift vulnerable groups and encourage collective responsibility in supporting the less fortunate.

Speaking during the event, Comfort Homes CEO Mr. Kariuki urged Kenyans of goodwill and political leaders to remember the needy in society, emphasizing that true heroism lies in service to humanity.

Among the beneficiaries was 85-year-old Joram Mwangi, who could not hide his joy after receiving the gift hamper. Mwangi thanked the company for the kind gesture, saying it had restored dignity and hope to many elderly people in the village.

The elderly participants also appealed to the government to increase their KSh 2,000 monthly stipends, noting that the amount is no longer sufficient to meet their daily needs. They further called on the Ministry of Health to address challenges within the Social Health Authority (SHA) program to ensure that more Kenyans benefit from affordable healthcare
